About Dr. B
Bernadette Howlett, "Dr. B" is a data analysis and research expert. She is the lead author of "Evidence-based Practice: An Interprofessional Approach," (2nd edition) as well a chapter on Securing and Proctoring Online Tests in "Online Assessment and Measurement: Foundations and Challenges." She has authored numerous articles and presented papers and posters at national and international meetings; and received numerous grants.
In addition to being an expert in organizational development, she is an award-winning educator, being a recipient of the John C. Bobbell Award for Dedication and Devotion to the Field of Adult Education from the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) SE Idaho Chapter. She has worked in online education for 20 years, primarily in the health sciences. During 10 of those years she worked as an instructional designer. She also taught freshmen seminar for 8 years. As a researcher she has published studies and received grants related to education and health care. She has significant technical skills, such as: database design, web publishing, MS Excel, IBM SPSS, desktop publishing, image editing, and more.
